How are gas or food prices affecting you and your family?

Well first off, the gas situation is killing me personally. I drive a lifted Jeep Wrangler that gets a whole 11 miles to the gallon so at almost 4 bucks a gallon its pretty ridiculous. Because I love my Jeep so much and would never sell it, I pretty much have no other choice other than to buy a gas getter. I considered just getting a scooter type thing but that didn't seem very realistic for year around. About two months ago I got really lucky and bought a 1998 Chevy Malibu for $2,000 that only has 20,000 miles on it. That was a pretty big deal because I have now more than doubled my gas mileage. As far as good prices go, I eat a lot so regardless, I always spend a lot of money on food.

  3. I drive a g6, but I still fill up twice a week at about 50$ each time. I have to drive here from columbia, Il, so it takes a lot of gas!! I feel your pain.

  4. I totally feel your pain about gas! I drive an audi a4 and it needs the "premium" gas or whatever so it's super expensive to fill up. It's usually about $65 to fill up my entire tank which holds 15 gallons. And I think I only get 20 miles to the gallon which is more than your jeep, but it still isn't great! When I was driving from home to SIUE, I used up so much gas, but since SWIC is a lot closer to my house it's been nice not having to drive that far everyday.
